Speech and Language Pathology, as well as Occupational Therapy fees are covered by the most private health insurance plans.
Expert and personalized therapy sessions should be conducted by a fully licensed Speech Language Pathologist registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario, or a licensed Occupational Therapist registered with College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (Coto).
Fees
Service fees are covered by most private health insurance plans under speech language therapy or occupational therapy.
The amount of coverage will depend upon an individual’s plan. There is no direct billing. Payment is by cash or cheque.
An official receipt will be given against the payment that can be submitted to insurance company for reimbursement through an individual’s health plan coverage.
Duration
45 minute and 1 hour sessions are available. Speech and language or Occupational Therapy assessments take 1 hour.
